Local Holiday in Lahore Announced by the Government of Punjab on 11th March

The government of Punjab announced the local holiday on 11th March due the Madhu Lal Hussain's urs 2023. All the institutes and departments will be closed on the occasion of Madhu Lal Hussain Urs on March 11th Saturday.

Notification Local Holiday 11th March

The government of the Punjab Services and General Administration department has issued a notification regarding the 11th march local holiday in Lahore. Notification no. SOW-I (S&GAD) 1-3/94(P) on dated: 06th March, 2023. The text written in the notification is: It is hereby notified to the general public that a local holiday in Lahore District shall be observed on 11th March 2023 (Saturday), on account of "Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain (R.A)".

This holiday will be observed only at the district level and its subordinate offices located in Lahore District.

Madhu Lal Hussain R.A a great Sufi saint, and poet lived in Lahore in the 16th century. His purpose in poetry was love and humanity. Every year, there are three days when people come to his grave in his honor.
