The Indus River System Authority (IRSA), Government of Pakistan, has announced vacancies for the project titled “Installation of Telemetry System for Real-Time Discharge Monitoring at 27 Key Sites on Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS).” The organization is looking to hire qualified and motivated individuals for various positions, including Deputy Directors, Engineers, Computer Operators, Drivers, and Support Staff. WAPDA serves as the Executing Agency for this project.

The appointments will be made on a Project Mode basis, initially for a period of one (1) year. This period is extendable subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. While the head office is located in Islamabad, key project sites are distributed across Pakistan (16 in Punjab, 3 in Sindh, 5 in Balochistan, and 3 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). Key Responsibilities

• Technician (Electrical): Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Understanding electronic principles, circuits, and components.

• Driver: Driving and maintaining the vehicles.

• Gauge Observer/Helper: Helping the flow measuring team and supporting the understanding of gauge data.

• Cleaner: Cleaning the telemetry equipment and assisting the field team.

• Boat Operator: Operating the boat for flow measurement using new procured flow measurement equipment.

• Security Guard: Providing security to field installations.

• Sanitary Worker: Keeping the cleanliness of the offices and its premises.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• For Serial No. 1 to 16: Detailed Job Descriptions and Qualifications are available on the official IRSA website.

• Technician (Electrical): One-year technical certification in Electrical/Electronics from a Govt. recognized institute, 3 years experience, and computer literacy.

• Driver: Matric with LTV license.

• Gauge Observer / Cleaner / Naib Qasid / Security Guard: Middle pass.

• Boat Operator / Sanitary Worker: Literate.

• Age Limit: Generally up to 30 or 35 years for posts 17-24 (check specific post details).
