Program Details

• Objective: The scholarship is offered for various degree levels: Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. studies in Hungary.

• Management: The program is managed by HEC, Pakistan, in collaboration with Tempus Public Foundation, Hungary.

• Eligibility: The scholarship is open to Pakistani/AJK nationals.

• Important Note (Equivalence): It is the sole responsibility of the applicants for any professional degree (e.g., Engineering, Medicine, Law, Architecture, etc.) to confirm its accreditation from the respective Pakistani regulatory body (e.g., PEC, PMDC, PNC, PCATP, etc.) before applying.

HEC Aptitude Test

• Test Required: Applicants must appear for the HEC’s Education Testing Council (ETC) Pakistan conducted MS/M.Phil and PhD Studies Aptitude Test (HAT-G) or Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT).

• Timing: The test is expected to be conducted in January or February 2026 (tentatively).

How to Apply for Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme?

The application process is two-fold, requiring submission on both HEC and Hungarian portals.

• Read the detailed instructions, link, and FAQs available on the HEC webpage before opening the application.

• Step 1: HEC Application: Apply online at the HEC portal: https://stipendiumhungaricum.hec.gov.pk/apply/.

• Step 2: Hungarian Portal: Apply online at the Hungarian portal: https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/.

• It is MANDATORY to submit online applications on BOTH portals. Failure to submit applications on both portals will result in the rejection of the application.

• Hard copies of applications and other documents are NOT required at this stage of the application process. However, applicants must keep a record of all the submitted documents along with a printed copy of BOTH submitted application forms.

• Applicants must ensure their profile is successfully submitted on both portals. After submission of the application, applicants are advised to keep a copy of the submitted application form.

• Applications other than online portals prescribed by HEC will NOT be entertained.

• The recommendation of the nominating agency (HEC) will be final and binding.
