The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has launched the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) Phase II – Batch VI program. This initiative aims to provide fresh PhD graduates an opportunity to gain academic experience and mentorship for one year in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Federal/Provincial Government post-graduate degree colleges. The program helps PhD graduates transition into the academic job market.

Eligible candidates will be placed in HEIs for one year, where they will receive mentorship and training under the National Faculty Development Programme (NFDP). The placement includes a fixed remuneration of Rs. 150,000/- per month for a duration of 12 months. The program does not offer stipends during training.

Applicants must meet eligibility criteria such as having Pakistani/AJK nationality, being under 40 years old, holding a PhD from an HEC-recognized university, and having at least two research publications in HEC-recognized journals.

Important Notes:

• Selected applicants must participate in a mandatory pre-assessment test on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
• Top applicants scoring at least 50% will attend training under NFDP, followed by placement at HEIs.
• The program offers no stipend during training, but successful candidates will receive Rs. 150,000/- per month during placement.
• Hard copy applications must be properly bound and flagged. Improperly submitted applications will not be entertained.
• Placement at HEIs is mandatory upon completing training.

• Apply online via HEC E-Portal: http://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp
• Submit application before April 15, 2025 (4:00 PM).
• Upload HEC-attested PhD degree or equivalence certificate (if applicable).
• Deposit Rs. 3,000/- (non-refundable) application fee in Account Number 1742-79001334-01, Habib Bank Limited.
• Submit hard copy of the application with required documents.
• Appear for the pre-assessment test on May 11, 2025.
