The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, Water & Power Department GB has announced a high-level job opportunity for the position of Project Director. This recruitment is for the development project titled “20MW Hydropower Project Hanzel Gilgit” under the PSDP.

The department is seeking eligible and experienced professionals, specifically engineers (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical), who are registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The selected candidate will be responsible for the smooth execution of the project, ensuring it meets the approved scope, cost, and timeline. This role requires excellent skills in project management tools, monitoring & evaluation (M&E) systems, and quality control in similar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. The appointment is on a contract basis for one year, which is extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Other Conditions / Terms

• The appointment will be on a contract basis for a period of one year, charged to the relevant head of the project.

• The contract is extendable on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance.

• The Project Director shall be responsible for the smooth execution of the project as per the approved scope, cost, and time.

• The candidate must ensure compliance with GFRs, Procurement Rules, Contract Agreement Rules, and prevailing laws.

• No TA/DA will be admissible for the Test/Interview.

• Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for the Test/Interview.
