Key Responsibilities

• Conducting academic research, delivering higher education lectures, publishing research papers, and performing academic or structural programming administration tasks as defined by the university criteria.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Professor: PhD in relevant field, 10–15 years teaching/research experience, and a minimum of 15 research publications with at least 5 in the last five years in HEC/PEC recognized journals. PEC registration required for Engineering.

• Associate Professor: PhD in relevant field, 5–10 years teaching/research experience, and a minimum of 10 research publications with at least 4 in the last five years in HEC recognized journals.

• Assistant Professor: PhD in relevant field OR Master’s degree (Foreign) or MPhil/equivalent degree with 4–6 years teaching/research experience.

• Lecturer: First Class MS/MPhil/equivalent degree or LLB Degree (First Class) or Master’s Degree (First Class) in Computer Science. Valid PEC Registration for Electrical Engineering. No 3rd division in entire academic career.

• Computer Programmer: Master’s Degree 2nd Division in Computer Science. Experience in programming and knowledge of important software packages is preferred.

1. Eligibility/shortlisting will be conducted in accordance with the University Recruitment Policy 2021.

2. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications with necessary documents, complete in all respects.

4. Non-refundable processing fee: Rs. 5000/- for Professor and Associate Professor, and Rs. 3000/- for Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Computer Programmer.

5. Fees must be submitted to HBL GCU Branch through a challan form or online deposit in HBL A/C No. 2398-70001616-03 or Bank Draft/Demand Draft/Postal Order in favor of “Vice Chancellor GCU Lahore”.

6. Quota: 5% quota for minorities and 3% quota for disabled persons.

7. General age relaxation: Maximum 5 years for men and 8 years for women in upper age limit as per Government of Punjab rules.

8. The university reserves the right not to fill/withdraw/change any number of posts, withhold appointment, or change the nature of appointment (Permanent/Contract/Adhoc).

9. No TA/DA will be paid for the test/interview.

10. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

11. Candidates already in service of Government/Semi-Government Department/Autonomous Body must apply through proper channel.
