Terms of Appointment & Other Notes

• Terms of Appointment & Salary:
  • The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed for a term of four years.
  • The appointee will be entitled to the maximum salary of a Professor on Tenure Track System, as per approval of the Government.
• Important Notes:
  • Details of requisite qualifications, experience, and other relevant requirements (short-listing criteria) are available at www.hed.punjab.gov.pk.
  • Notification of postings shall not be accepted as an experience certificate.
  • Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
  • Only shortlisted applicants shall be called to appear for an interview in person.
  • No interview will be allowed through video links (i.e., Skype/ WhatsApp etc.), except for those candidates who are currently employed abroad.

Key requirements for applicants include:

• Must not be more than sixty-five (65) years of age on the last date for application.
• Must hold a PhD from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.
• Possess significant experience in a senior academic, research, or management leadership position.
• A distinguished research and publications record is essential.
• Applicants must submit a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their current employer before the interview.

This position is for a term of four years, with a salary equivalent to the maximum of a Professor on the Tenure Track System.
