Pakistan Railways has announced various job opportunities for its Lahore and Rawalpindi Divisions. These vacancies are for essential operational and technical categories, aimed at strengthening the transportation and mechanical departments of the rail network.

The recruitment is being carried out for the positions of C-Class Apprentices and other technical staff. These appointments are offered on a contract basis for a period of two years. Required Qualifications & Skills

• For Carpenter, Welder, and Fitter: Matric 2nd Division with a one-year Diploma/certificate in the relevant trade from a Government recognized institute.

• For Pointsman: Matric 2nd Division.

• For Gateman: Middle pass.

NOTES / TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Recruitment Quota: Open Merit (60%), Son of Railway Employee (20%), Ex-Service Man (10%), Orphans (5%), and Minorities (5%).

• Age Relaxation: General relaxation of 5 years is applicable. Further relaxations for Ex-Service men (up to 15 years), Scheduled Castes/Buddhist Community (3 years), and Government Servants (10 years) are provided as per rules.

• Candidates must belong to the specified districts listed in the advertisement (Lahore, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas).

• Selected candidates must pass the medical fitness examination.

• For Rawalpindi Division, a postal order of Rs. 500/- is required.
